Hey guys!

I just got a job as a reporter for **********.com--they cover local MMA (and other combat sports) fights. I'm fairly new to MMA and don't know all the lingo and rules yet. Is there a way I can learn this, either a website or even going to a class or meeting with an instructor to learn common techniques MMA fighters use?

Hello, I'm in ROTC at the U, and I have always been in love with fighting. I very much want to be part of mma fights, but I must admit that I have quite a busy schedule. If there is any league that I could join which would bring fights then I would be all for it, and any information you can give me would be excellent. Thank you very much friend.

Bart,

I took your MMA Class @ the U. I am now stationed in Pensacola, FL and have yet to find a good MMA gym here. Do you have any recommendations for good at home drills. Obviously I need to get into a dojo, but until that happens I still want to train.

Thanks.

The fight I want to talk about is Frank Mir and Kong-go. It was very quick and impressive fight, especially for Frank Mir. I think that his size are bigger than his last fight with Brock. I remember that Frank said he need more weight after his fight. At the beginning of the fight, Frank’s left straight puches lended to Kong-go and he was downed. Frank did hammer punches and guillotine choke, and Kongo were rest in peace. The most impressive moment is that Frank’s choke. Because he twisted his grip, the choke was more effective and tighter. This is something that I learned in the class. I tapped out during the training because I did not make the choke tight enough by twisting my grip. By watching Frank’s twisted grip, I could review what I learned in the class. Thank you Bart!
