Self Defense Class Overview Summer ’08Filed Under: Classes
Here is a little information about the self defense class at the University of Utah I’m teaching. If you can make it, sign up and join me. It should be lots of fun and very informative, especially if you’ve never had any self defense training before.
My hope is that students will walk out of the class feeling more confident that they can handle themselves fairly well if crap goes down. Student’s aren’t going to be ultimate fighters after one semester, taking on assassins in their sleep or anything, but I aim to help improve their skills as much as possible.
To become really solid in terms of self-defense, you have to have skills integrated on the subconscious level – and the entry level to that is probably 3-6 months of frequent training. There’s no better time to start training than now.
Let’s start training!

I totally agree. I’m starting the up the website, and preparing a lot of MMA content to publish here – I just needed a place to put up the self defense class syllabus.
