I’ve published over 150 posts here at SLCMMA, and I appreciate you reading some of them. You’ve brought traffic to my blog, maybe even clicked on my adsense ads to help me out – now I want to do something for you.
Tell me what you’d like to see – more pictures, videos, interviews … request away. As my blog grows, I want to give you what you want. So tell me what that is!
For example, in my personal life, I’ve had a number of requests to write something about flexibility, so I’m putting together a free Ebook that will be available later this year. It’s a pretty big project for me, but since I know it will be appreciated I’m going to do it.
Of course, I may know nothing about what you want to know. In that case, what a cool opportunity for me to learn it, right?
In the comments, request something you’d like me to write about, and I’ll do my best to cover it in the future.

I enjoy your interviews, and particularly the format you used with Eddie Edmunds. That and the articles on diet at eating.

Found you through the do follow blog site. Would be cool if you had an intro to MMA page for those of us randomly finding you and who don’t know much about the sport. Looks intense. I’m sure there are lots of MMA clubs here in LA with their doors open to a more educated world about the sport.

LA has all sorts of MMA gyms, and big ones at that. The main issue with MMA inside California is that they refuse to legalize amateur MMA and so the only option for non-pros is illegal smokers or Pankration. And with the commission cracking down hard on smokers, that just leaves Pankration.

It’d be cool if you posted about any hot deals you hear about for MMA gear or a way to get cheap tickets to some of the local fights.

Definitely interested in the fitness aspect and some killer workouts and routines for training.
Thanks

I would like to see more interviews from the ‘top’ authorities in the particular art form. And also, the site Im looking at says SLC MMA which is a ‘subsite’ of the Utah Martial Arts site but has comments here that make it look more like Im in the wrong city (LA). Perhaps having local and national column and communication would be nice too.

It really helps when you add a related video to the technique you’re describing. It’s like a mini in-class demonstration, which is how I learn best. Also, anything to do with Oscar the Grouch proves as a tremendous aid to my comprehension skills! Anyway, on a more helpful note: I really enjoy the philosophy behind the martial art. Maybe just throw in a few tidbits of background info on what things mean and why/how certain moves or ideas came to be. Then again, there might not be as many touchy-feely, “lets-find-the-meaning-behind-everything” people on here as I want
please and thank-you, Bart!

Daniel – as I come in contact with top guys, I’ll be sure to try to become buddies with them and share. For example, Pedro Sauer is coming in for a spring training camp and I’ll probably get a chance to talk to him for a few minutes. We’ll see.
Also, Utahmartialart.com is run by a friend of mine, but we’re both separate entities – I just allow him to republish my stuff on there.
Kabrina – I’ll try to do that more often. I love layered learning, and I believe it to be very effective.
On philosophy, I LOVE it too. Our techniques are an extension of the art, but the core fundamentals are ideas. I will certainly try to get better at giving context and philosophy behind the moves.
Thanks all for comments!
