Upcoming Saulo Ribeiro Seminar

Just wanted to start spreading the word, so you can put it on your radar. And by “put it on your radar” I mean to start rearranging your life, if necessary. Not only is he 6x world champion, Saulo is one of the most sought after instructors in the world.

Saulo Ribeiro is coming to SLC for a seminar possibly February 26-27, maybe the week after.

If you want to know what to expect, here is a write up of a Saulo seminar. I’m already pumped up to learn from him.

I’ll post more details when things get finalized.

Rich “Ace” Franklin Seminar down at Jeremy Horn’s Elite Gym

Jeremy Horn has Rich Franklin doing a seminar down at his gym. It’s on Halloween afternoon 12-3, so before you trick or treat, train with the Ace. Cost: $75 .

Catch Wrestling Seminar with Billy Robinson @ Altitude Combat

I just heard about this from Noah J – there is going to be a catch as catch can wrestling seminar over at Brandon Ruiz’s Altitude Combat. Wednesday and Thursday night, $20 bucks a night.

I know it’s short notice, but Billy Robinson is one of those old school powerhouses, like Karl Gotch. Billy has trained some very tough guys – like Josh Barnett and Sakuraba. Not to mention that Brandon also has a serious grappling resume. I rolled with Brandon once at Fusion – he was messing around, let me take his back and attempt to choke him, which was like trying to submit a mighty oak tree with Olympic greco-roman experience. Epic fail. Anyway…

PS – Appearance it’s tough to find the place – it’s in a warehouse like district just off North Temple and 800 West.

PSS – Did you notice the Brock Lesnar catch wrestling hold from half guard?

Novemember Aikido Seminar

Sensei Masanobu Hayata (my sensei’s sensei) is flying in from Osaka Japan to teach a few classes this weekend. He will be teaching mostly stand-up techniques, attack angles, wristlocks, etc. It will be awesome training. Hayata Sensei has a very open teaching style, and is very good a what he does. All skill levels are invited, provided they show appropiate respect.

It is sugguested you bring a $25 dollar per session donation for Hayata Sensei, as he pays his own way to fly over from Japan to come here.
